I'm loved *sigh*

So a very special Aussie lady-blogger (who I have a total lady crush on) has shamelessly stroked my ego on her blog :: the girl with the pink teacup. I highly recommend to check out the post about me her witty and insightful blog. Warning: not for the faint of heart; she can be a naughty lady.

Here is my closest approximation:

goddesswithredboob

sexy, and colorful.

She also brought to my attention that I STILL don't have an etsy store up. So, my delimma (without going into too much detail) is that in order to be able to sell my beads in good faith I have to put them through what is called an annealing process. For this you need a kiln. I don't have one of my own (try I'm about $1000 too poor) but I thought I had access to one. But that kiln was moved from its home, and supposedly not up and running. So then my incredibly talented fiance was going to make one. Well, that may be a ways off, and I'm about $300 too poor for that. But, I am sick of all the beads just haning out in the basement (although the MJ beads started a choir with the goddess beads. I should really make them some instruments) so...

I am going to find another temporary solution. Monday. (hold me accountable because I'm much better at doing things when I'm constantly being yelled at)

First- I an going to check on the eta of the kiln I was going to borrow. If I can't use it in the coming week, I will seek out any possible glass artist and beg and wave around some mulah.

Well, thanks for reading my ramblings. I'm off to go fishing with my man! Have a great weekend :)

Hey, here via the Girl's blog :) I never realised beads could be so much fun! Especially loved the MJ ones, 'specially the one on the left with the googly eye :P Hope you get your kiln soon, you're clearly very talented at beads and blogs.

Yep, the Girl with the pink teacup alerted me to your awesomeness, I'm glad she wielded the pimp hat so well!

I love your glasswork! I make jewelry myself but nothing involving major tools or fire or anything (to my husband's relief, I am too clumsy for that).

I've been thinking about an etsy store too. Let us know when yours is up!

And I really liked the posts Girl chose to pimp you with, I really liked learning about lampwork - and I never knew that about Murano!

Consider yourself pimped :D

I loved the MJ beads - was the one on the extreme left in honour of Thriller? :P

Yeah, the Michael Jackson beads are a winner.

And I even know what annealing is! My late father was a glassblower, though for laboratory glassware.

Oh, Valerie! I am so stupidly touched (in both good and bad ways) that you made a Venus de Milo-style sexy bead! It's voluptous and edible-looking at the same time - two qualities I look for in a woman. I think you need to help yourself to the "Straight Pimpin' Award" that Soda and Candy cooked up, because not only did you pimp me, you made me a freakin' bead! I must request though that you pimp two other bloggers in the coming week. Your readers need to know who else you lurve in the world of beadmaking!

Can't wait for you to beg, borrow or steal a kiln so you can get your annealing on. As you can see, the people of the blogosphere are desperate for some Valerie beads! Hope the fish are biting for you two this weekend.

Girl interrupted- thanks so much. the left is my favorite too. I've actually stalked your blog a little bit already via Mr. Condescending. I love your quote :)

Soda and Candy- she totally is awesome. What are you planning on putting in your etsy store!? I'd love to see some of your jewelry work. And don't swear off torches if you're clumsy- I am as well and have only burnt myself 3 times in 6 years and one comforter.

Simon- you are so smart. And making laboratory glassware is both artsy and sciency. yeah!

the girl- aw thanks. I have another bead in mind to make in honor of you that corresponds to some other art in posts of yours- hint hint. And I well definitely get on top of the award and spreading the love (and searching for a new kiln) ASAP.

Heehee! I make earrings, just simple little beaded ones, but also ones with guitar picks. I'm kind of stuck right now because the place I used to get nice thin picks with no logo on doesn't carry them any more, and I haven't really gotten around to finding a new supplier.

I think an etsy store is probably a fair way off for me.

I hope you find that kiln! I know how they like to run off and stuff lol. You know I'm no stranger to your blog, and I hope you do get access to a kiln, I hope its igloo safe too! Happy fishing.

Keeping my fingers crossed that you find a kiln!

Soda- good luck finding a new supplier. Starting an etsy store is always more difficult than you first think.

Young mom- Thanks! I can't wait either :)

Mr. C.- well, they do have legs lol. And I know I've been loved by you too if not so blatenly as by teacup. The igloo is also fine- global warming is still no match.

Krysten- thanks! I need all the help I can get!

Shawna- you aren't missing out. Although, it was kinda fun when we went fishing in Hawaii, but there all the fish are colorful and have funny names. And we got to see sharks. Fishing in a lake I mostly just go to hang out with my fiance and get some sun :)
